कंप्यूटर meaning in Hindi : कंप्यूटर को हिंदी मे अभिकलक यंत्र, संगणक यन्त्र या परिकलक कहा जाता है | 

बहुत सारे लोग कंप्यूटर की अलग अलग full form बताते है लेकिन सच मे computer की कोई full form नहीं होती है | बहुत सारे sources मे computer की full form – C = Commonly O = Operating M = Machine P = Particularly U = Used for T = Technical and E = Educational R = Research बताई गयी है लेकिन यह बाद मे computer को उसके function के अनुसार interpret करते हुए define की गयी है| कंप्यूटर को short मे com या puter के नाम से भी जाना जाता है । कंप्यूटर word computations से लिया गया है जिसका मतलब होता है calculation एवं computer का मतलब है कैलकुलेशन करने वाला | वैसे कहा जाता है की computer term originally उन लोगो को कहा जाता था जो की mechanical calculators की help से numerical calculations perform करते थे जैसे की abacus या फिर slide rule | बाद मे यह term उन mechanical devices के लिए use होने लगी जो की calculation perform करते थे और आज उन “electronic device जो की input को process करके meaningful output produce कर सकता है” को computer कहते है | 

Computer क्या होता है ?

कंप्यूटर एक electronic device है जो की data को input लेता है उनको process करके meaningful output information produce करता है | Computer मे data को store, retrieve, and process करने की ability होती है | Computer की help से आप documents type कर सकते है, mail भेज सकते है, games खेल सकते है, print कर सकते है, internet पर information को browse कर सकते है, calculate कर सकते है, movie देख सकते है, गाने सुन सकते है और भी बहुत कुछ |

कंप्यूटर वो advanced electronic device है जिसको किसी भी तरह के arithmetic or logical operations के लिए instruct किया जा सकता है एवं ये automatically एक time limit के अंदर उसको process करके output show करता है | कंप्यूटर मे task perform करने के लिए कुछ set of rules बनाये जाते है जो की sequence of operations perform कर सकते है जिसको program कहते है | कंप्यूटर दो चीजों से मिलकर बनता है एक software (जिनको program भी कहते है ) और दूसरा hardware | Software की तुलना मे कंप्यूटर hardware को physically touch किया जा सकता है | Computer को अगर hardware form मे define किया जाये तो यह बहुत सारे physical component or parts का collection है जिसमे की computer case, monitor, keyboard, and mouse आदि parts होते है | Computer case मे hard disk drive, motherboard, video card, memory आदि रखे जाते है | 

Hardware (हार्डवेयर)

Hardware कंप्यूटर के physical structure को कहते है जिसको आप touch कर सकते है जैसे keyboard, mouse, computer case etc | इसके अंदर computer के internal parts जैसे की hard disk, motherboard, CPU आदि होते है |

Software (सॉफ्टवेयर)

यह set of instructions से मिलकर बनता है जो की hardware को ये बताता है की क्या काम करना है और कैसे करना है | Software के example है – word processor, games, calculator आदि |

आप कंप्यूटर पर कुछ भी काम करे उसके लिए कंप्यूटर के हार्डवेयर और सॉफ्टवेयर दोनों काम मे आते है जैसे की अभी आप web browser पर internet की help से यह article read कर रहे है तो इसके लिए आप web browser (software) के साथ computer or mobile का hardware (जैसे की monitor, touch screen आदि) काम मे ले रहे है | computer को किसी भी तरह के operation perform करने के लिए दोनों elements hardware and software की जरुरत होती है |

कंप्यूटर hardware मे दो तरह के parts होते है – Input and output devices |

Input devices : वो device जिसकी help से आप computer को कोई instruction or input देते है एवं जिसको receive करने के बाद computer process करने data को output device पर भेज देता है | Some examples of hand-operated input devices are:

Output devices : ये वो devices होती है जिस पर computer data को process करके output देता है |

6. Video कार्ड

Important parts of Computer

ऊपर बताई गई input and output devices मे से कुछ devices optional हो सकती है जिनके बिना भी computer चल सकता है लेकिन computer के कुछ parts ऐसे होते है जिनके बिना computer को use नहीं किया जा सकता | ये है –

1. Processor – यह component computer मे instructions को execute or process करने का काम करता है |
2. Memory (RAM) – यह computer का temporary storage area है | Know more about RAM 
3. Motherboard – ये computer के सभी components को connect करने के लिए use आता है | Know more about Motherboard 
4. Hard Drive – यह वो area है जहा पर OS, software and data permanently save होते है |
