ROM Definition : ROM, Read only Memory का short नाम है|

ROM कंप्यूटर मे built-in memory होती है जिसका डेटा read only होता है एवं उसमे कुछ भी write or modify नहीं किया जा सकता| Generally, ROM को computer की boot settings के लिए प्रोग्राम किया जाता है एवं इसका डेटा मुख तौर पर कंप्यूटर के boot time मे काम आता है| RAM के विपरीत ROM का डेटा कभी भी नहीं जाता and its परमानेंट | 

Unlike Random Access Memory (RAM), ROM is non-volatile which means it keeps its contents regardless of whether or not it has power.
