What is Serial Port and communication
Serial Port kya hai : Serial port एक interface है जो की PC से एक बार मे एक bit transmit or receive allow करता है | Serial पोर्ट interfaces मे एक बहुत old type का interface है एवं किसी समय मे यह printers and external modems को PC से connect करने का common medium था | एक प्रकार से serial पोर्ट एक general-purpose interface होती है जिसको की किसी भी type की डिवाइस के साथ use कर सकते है जैसे की modems, mice, and printers (although most printers are connected to a parallel port) |Parallel port के comparison मे serial पोर्ट की data transfer rate slow होती है |
9 Pin Serial Port
Serial ports की speed slow होने की वजह से इसको USB या other faster interface ports से replace किया जा रहा है लकिन अभी भी serial पोर्ट widely used in data acquisition | इसको अभी भी scientific instruments, cash registers एवं industrial machinery system से related application मे use किया जा रहा है |
25 Pin Serial port
Normally, serial port एक male port होता है इसको COM1, COM2, COM3, कहा जाता है | Each COM position , input/output (I/O) and an interrupt request (IRQ) address को represent करती है | I/O address, peripheral device (such as a mouse or keyboard) से data को transfers and receives करती है | The serial port standard is RS-232. serial port nine-pin (DE-9) connector or 25-pin (DB-25) कनेक्टर को use करता है | Originally 25 pins वाला serial port popular था लेकिन क्योकि इसमें बहुत सरे pins use नहीं आ रहे थे एवं थोड़ा bulky भी था इसलिए बाद मे the smaller DE-9 connector popular हो गया |
