Understand Display Port
Displayport kya hai : Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) ने digital display interface Display Port को 2006 मे develop किया | Interface को video source से display device such as a computer monitor को connect करने मे use करते है लेकिन इस पोर्ट को audio, USB, and other forms of डेटा signal के लिए भी use किया जा सकता है |DisplayPort connectors मे 20 pins होते है एवं ये 2 sizes मे available है : DisplayPort and Mini Display Port|

Advantages/Benefits of Display Port- DisplayPort enables high display performance, robustness, and versatility| DisplayPort मे बहुत अच्छा system integration एवं अलग अलग device types के साथ interoperability होती है | DisplayPort को audio and video signal simultaneously transmit करने के लिए use किया जा सकता है लेकिन each one is optional एवं दोनों signal एक दूसरे के बिना भी ट्रांसमिट किये जा सकते है |डिस्प्ले पोर्ट से multiple displays (via a hub or daisy-chaining) को एक single video output से connect किया जा सकता है | it supports all common 3D video formats and DP cables can also carry multichannel digital audio |DisplayPort मे higher system integration होता है , इसको less RF shielding की इसको जरुरत होती है and ये royalty free है | It support High-resolution displays i.e 4K UHD.
VESA ने डिस्प्ले पोर्ट को VGA, DVI, and FPD-लिंक को replace करने के लिए design किया था | डिस्प्ले पोर्ट VGA, DVI and HDMI के backward compatible है | डिस्प्ले पोर्ट इसके फीचर्स के वजह से बहुत तेजी से popular हो रहा है December 2010 मे बहुत सारे computer vendors and display makers Intel, AMD, Dell, Lenovo, Samsung and LG ने announce किया की वे आगे आने वाले टाइम मे FPD-Link, VGA, and DVI-I को phase आउट करेंगे and इनको DisplayPort and HDMI से रेप्लस करेंगे |
